Wheel Maintenance
Check the wheels for wear and tear. Poor rotation of the wheel is associated with debris such as fine threads and ropes. Anti-tangle covers are effective in shielding them from these debris.
Loose or tight casters are another factor. Replace worn wheels to avoid erratic rotation. After checking and replacing the wheels, ensure that the axle is tightened with locking spacers and nuts. Because a loose axle can cause the wheel to rub against the bracket and seize, be sure to keep replacement wheels and bearings on hand to avoid downtime and loss of production.
Bracket and Fastener Inspection
If the movable steering is too loose, the bracket must be replaced immediately. If the center rivet of the caster is nut-fastened, it shall be ensured that it is tightly locked and secure. If the movable steering does not rotate freely, check for corrosion or dirt at the ball. If fixed casters are fitted, ensure that the caster bracket is not bent.
Tighten loose axles and nuts and check for damage to welds or support plates. Use lock nuts or lock washers when installing casters. Expansion rod casters should be installed to ensure that the rod is firmly installed in the casing.
Lubricant Maintenance
By adding lubricant regularly, the wheels and movable bearings can be used normally for a long time. Applying grease to the axle, inside the seals, and in the friction areas of the roller bearings will minimize friction and make rotation more flexible.Lubricate every six months under normal conditions. The wheels should be lubricated every month after the vehicle is washed.
