Adjustable feet, also known as leveling feet, leveling cups, or height adjusting foot bolts, are components that utilize threads for height adjustment. In many fields, such as mechanical equipment installation, furniture manufacturing, electrical equipment placement, etc., the adjusting foot plays a vital role. It not only ensures the stable connection between the equipment and the ground, but also adjusts the height, levelness and inclination of the equipment, preventing the equipment from displacement and overturning due to uneven ground or vibration.
I. Usage
Determine the needs:
First, it is necessary to define whether the item needs to remain stable on uneven ground or whether it needs to be adjusted in height during handling. If these needs are met, adjustable feet would be ideal.
Installation of adjustable feet:
For household appliances or large items, adjustable feet are usually already pre-installed on the bottom. Simply follow the product instructions or installation guide.
For items that require self-installation of the feet, first make sure the floor is level, then select the appropriate feet for the size and weight of the item. Next, secure the adjusting feet evenly to the bottom of the item to ensure stability.
Height Adjustment:
Most adjustable feet are equipped with a height adjustment feature. By rotating or stretching the feet, the height can be easily adjusted to adapt the item to different floor heights. During the adjustment process, make sure that the height of each adjusting foot is consistent to avoid tilting or rocking the item.
Check stability:
Once the adjustment is complete, gently shake the item to check its stability. If necessary, the height of the adjustment feet can be further adjusted until the item is fully stabilized.
