Analyze the advantages and disadvantages of industrial iron core polyurethane casters

Iron core polyurethane caster is a kind of caster with polyurethane material, bonded to cast iron core, steel core or steel plate core, which is quiet, slow weight and economical, and is suitable for most operating environments.
Usually, the size of industrial casters is between 4~8 inches (100-200mm), with polyurethane wheels being the best. Polyurethane wheels have superior abrasion resistance, a wide range of adjustable performance, diverse processing methods, wide applicability, and good resistance to oil, ozone, aging, radiation, low temperature, etc., good sound permeability, strong adhesive force, excellent biocompatibility and blood compatibility.

Polyurethane casters are mainly characterized by the following features:
1. Large adjustable range of performance. Through the selection of raw materials and adjust the formula, can be flexible within a certain range of changes in a number of physical and mechanical performance indicators, to meet the unique requirements of the user on the performance of products. For example, polyurethane elastomers can be made into soft printing rubber rollers and hard steel rollers to meet the needs of different users.
2. Superior abrasion resistance. In the presence of water, oil and other wetting media working conditions, the wear resistance of polyurethane casters is several times to dozens of times that of ordinary rubber materials.

3. Various processing methods and wide applicability. Polyurethane elastomer can be molded by plasticizing, mixing and vulcanizing process (refers to MPU); it can also be made into liquid rubber, casting molding or spraying, potting and centrifugal molding (refers to CPU); it can also be made into granular material and molded by injection, extrusion, calendering, blow molding and other processes (refers to CPU).
4. Resistant to oil, ozone, aging, radiation, low temperature, good sound transmission, strong adhesive force, excellent biocompatibility and blood compatibility.

However, polyurethane elastomers have certain disadvantages, such as high endogenous heat, high temperature resistance in general, especially bad resistance to moisture and heat, not resistant to strong polar solvents and strong acid and alkali media.
